Terms of service

By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you are allowed to bind it. "Trellis", "we" and "us" mean Trellis Systems, Inc..

Trellis is compliance preparation software. It is not an audit, not an examination, not an attestation and not a certification. We do not issue an opinion on your controls and we are not your auditor.

A SOC 2 report is issued by an independent licensed CPA firm following an examination under the AICPA attestation standards. Nothing produced by Trellis substitutes for that.

Trellis does not provide legal advice. A drafted policy is a starting point that your company reviews, edits, owns and adopts.

You remain responsible for your security controls, your evidence and the accuracy of what you tell an auditor or a customer.

Keep your credentials to yourself and tell us promptly if you think an account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity under your account.

One person per seat. Sharing a login across a team is not permitted, mostly because it makes your own access evidence worse.

• Do not submit material you do not have the right to submit.
• Do not use Trellis to build a competing control mapping dataset.
• Do not attempt to break, overload or work around the limits of the service.
• Do not present Trellis output to a third party as if it were an audit result.

You keep every right in the material you submit. You grant us a limited licence to process it in order to run your readiness checks and produce your results, and for no other purpose.

We do not train models on your material, and our providers are under agreements that prohibit training on our API traffic.

Results and drafts produced for you are yours to use, edit, adopt and publish as your own documents.

Prices are in US dollars. Monthly plans renew monthly and annual plans renew annually, until cancelled.

Cancel at any time from the dashboard. Cancellation stops the next renewal and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. We do not pro-rate part months.

If we change a price, existing subscriptions keep the old price until the next renewal and we will tell you at least 30 days before.

The free plan is free, has the limits published on the pricing page, and may change with notice.

We aim for high availability and publish our record on the status page. We do not offer a contractual uptime commitment on the plans sold from this website. If you need one, write to us.

The service is provided as is. We do not warrant that a readiness result is complete or that following it will result in a successful audit, because that depends on your evidence, your operations and your auditor.

To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability in any twelve month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost business or a delayed deal.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

You can close your account at any time. We can suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and we will tell you why.

On closure, your data is deleted as described in the privacy notice.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of laws rules. The courts of Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either of us may seek injunctive relief anywhere.

If we change these terms materially we will email workspace owners at least 30 days beforehand. Continuing to use Trellis after that means accepting the new version.
