Changelog

What changed, and why it changed

Short entries, in order. Where a change came from watching customers get something wrong, we say so.

Evidence quotes are verified before you see them

Every quote Trellis offers as support for a control status is now checked against your submitted material verbatim before it renders. A quote that cannot be found is dropped, and the finding is labelled as unsupported rather than shown with a plausible looking citation. In our own testing this rejected around one in fourteen quotes, which is one in fourteen times a customer would have gone looking for a sentence that did not exist.

  • Verbatim quote verification on every finding
  • Findings marked met with no named evidence are downgraded to weak automatically
  • Readiness score is computed in code, never by the model

Drafts arrive with an owner, a date and a review cadence

Auditors ask three questions about any policy: who owns it, when did it take effect, and when was it last reviewed. Drafts now always carry those three fields as visible placeholders, so a document cannot leave Trellis missing the parts that get it rejected. We also cut draft length by about a third after watching customers refuse to adopt anything over two pages.

  • Owner, effective date and review cadence placeholders in every draft
  • Shorter drafts by default, 280 to 420 words
  • Draft targets the largest open gap rather than the first control in order

Model routing is published

Trellis routes each step of a readiness run to a different model, and until now you had to take our word for which. The routing table is now rendered on the How the AI works page from the same configuration the product runs on, so what you read is what executed. Mapping and drafting run on a balanced model, document triage on a cheap one, and the frontier model is held for contested judgements.

  • Published routing table, generated from the live configuration
  • Per-run model attribution shown on every result
  • Fallback chain across providers so one outage does not block a run

Earlier entries predate the public product and are not listed.
